Man Wins $10 Million Judgment Against a Spammer

IANAL, but search engine spamming, splogging, cloaking and comment spamming are all still legal.

It wasn’t search engine spam; it’s good old fashion e-mail spam and the CAN SPAM act that helped an Oklahoma Man to win a $10 Million Judgment Against a Spammer.

$10 million is nice, but he’s not getting it so it’s kind of a moot point. Microsoft already won a judgment that locks up any money Soloway might ever pay.

Of course, in Russia, they deal with things a little differently. Perhaps some Russian mobster was really touchy about receiving one too many Viagra ads or fell victim to a Nigerian e-mail scam.

FYI: The 3rd Annual Nigerian E-Mail Conference is going on next week!
