QuadsZilla I recieved this comment in 2 places from CodeCaine Cypher. He must have been real eager to have this comment read so I figured I would just publish it as it’s own post:
I have looked into and considered all aspects of black hat seo for some time now and as for blog spamming I am 100% convinced it doesnt work and its all bullshit. I have seen guys who have managed to get 5-25000 links but every one without exception is banned.
If you have ever asked the question does google penalize comment spammers the answer is surely yes. Look into the 1st 20 results for Online Pharmacy,viagra, Texas-Holdem, Penis Enlargement and all the shit people are spamming and you will find its only the big dawgs that you also see on TV. I dont think a link spammer will ever get number one rank.
For the past year cvs has had #1 result on google for the keyword pharmacy and can you actually imagine a fuckin script kiddie knocking them off. close to 1 million search a day on yahoo for the word pharmacy and google gets 7 times that so you can imagine the dough cvs pulls in from that shit and as every action has an opposite and equal reaction what it would take to reach 1st result on big keywords would be the equivalent of taking hundreds of thousands of dollars out of cvs’s hand and a simple wp-comments.php robot wont cut it.
Cloaking and redirect thats all real shit and I believe in that fully but anyone in here who says there bringing in big dollars from comment spam including the guy from interview with a link spammer and I fuckin promise you there full of shit and the editor on http://www.theregister.co.uk/ spoofed that whole article. mayber 5 years ago it would have been true but today no way.
You can camoflauge your splogs and only spam say 200 sites but what good does that do when the top 10 sites in your target market have 700 inbound links and each of the guys they link to has 700 inbound links. Dont let your desire for fast money blind you.

I don’t think the boat was missed, I think somebody fell ouerboard and drowned.
Most black hat sites I know of aren’t targeting “viagra” or “pharmacy.” They are targeting “buy oxycotin from horny midget lesbians,” “cheap online phentermine perscription(sic)”and about 30k plus other similar terms per site, to catch not only much lower volume search terms as well as topically related unique search terms. It doesn’t take a whole hell of a lot of blog spcmming to rank well for that..
If you have say, 600 domains, and each makes on average only $30 a month, tnats 18k a month.
I’m glad I didn’t study and read where they did.
And yes, domains will get banned… so what? Make more.

CountZero, you actually test these blackhat methods? It is interesting to hear the things people are getting away with and not getting away with. A whitehatter myself, I personally see whitehat work improving my rankings, though I have only been up for a short time.

Only an idiot would try to target the most competitive phrases…BH SEO is all about low hanging fruit, and buddy…you can get rich off that, trust me. Fly below the radar…duh!

It depends on how you work BH: Research, or a quick fast buck… which can be hit or miss.
Research
BH can provide a fast way to find new markets. It can also be a useful means of discovering what “triggers” a particular market segment better responds to.
A Quick Buck
Read any grey or BH forum and you’ll read of people making varying amounts of money – From 0.20cents to 10’s of 1000’s.
You’ll also read from the odd brave soul that they’ve made nothing – Which could also mean, don’t forget, that they made $500/mth but it cost them more than that to make, whether that be in terms of buying resources or simply time-spent… Many don’t even think of it like that until the bills need paying.
We certainly don’t hear from everyone making nothing, as is the opposite case for those that make extreme amounts. Nonetheless, it must be accepted that there are many “hidden” loss-makers out there… many more than those actually make a living.
Mainstream BH is a live-fast, die-fast enterprise with diminishing returns – In order to stay at an attained level, one has to be more productive; Find new hosts, buy new domains, find new content, more KW’s, new templates, new links, seperate class c’s, avoid bad neighbourhoods, dodge the latest algo… the list goes on…
The heat is continually on to build more tools to automate the process because the current algo’s mean you need to increasingly scale bigger and quicker (which in itself, increasingly singles you out). Those same tools have a shorter working life, particularly those that become popular and/or are dished out freely by egocentrically-centred script-kiddies (thanks to you all BTW
)
It seems ironic to me, that what most – if not all – BH’ers constantly ask for from software, are tweaks that make the output as whitehat as possible. And that’s where we now see software edging towards.
In the meantime, I’m of the view that BH is a useful research tool to find niches to build a WH presence – I can sell a business that is difficult to knock from the SERP’s, A’la CVS, but would struggle to sell a mainstream BH business for anything meaningful (or without practicing deception).
Hey im not a black hat ( then again i dont think any of you are with the exception of the owner of this site) but since you all say im full of it could you indulge me in how much you make from the dark side as oppose to how much you would be making if you flew straight. Thats assuming all of you who say I am wrong are actually making money.

It’s not enough to read some paper to be considered a BH.
You have to work, test, invest, study, work, test, invest, study…
The way to attack search engine has changed from few years ago, at our day is really hard to be a winner, to reach the first position with auto generated sites, but is still possible and always will be.
If you want, you can.
But please remember that with your bullshit you are offending the real black hat community.

Now that I have switched to whitehat I am definitely making more. Damn, splogging got all my sites banned.
Ok, I have to pay to get articles/contet written now but I spend some time each day writing, but so what. I now feel safe and my sites will be in Google forever, always making me money.
I’m also spending a lot of time reading link exchange emails, which takes more time than link spamming with some custom software. However, now I feel secure that I won’t get banned and eventually rank for my keywords.
There’s one thing that made me change my mind. The feeling of security that in 5 years, my sites will be making much more money, while the blackhat sites will be banned. It surely beats making 1000 blackhat sites that will only make me $500 per day for a couple months. After all when they get banned I have to make more and more to keep up. And we all know how difficult that is.
Income? Here ya go…Bock Bock. Just one account for a few months…

Definately wrong. In serp for “online poker”, the Wikipedia page on the topic ranks from 2 to 4 depending on Google server. And this is the result of google bombing (hence spamming links)
I love the “either or” examples here. I have black hat sites ove 2 years old that are still making me money. There are other options than “whitehat sites that last forever or blackhat sites that last a month”. I prefer my blackhat sites that last forever(as if thats guaranteed with either hat, lol), but to each his own I guess.
