Google Can Index Contents of Flach Files?

Google Can Index the Contents of Flash Files — an interview article by Robin Nobles

Try similar searches on text that appears in the middle as well if you really want to be sure. This is a good spot check to see what Google is grabbing from the Flash file. Since we can’t know exactly what Google uses to read the Flash file, the Macromedia tool is only an approximation, and this spot check is always the best measure.

I’m not sure how legit this article is, or to what extent Google can index flash files – but it’s worth a read. If they ever figure out how to make the browser ‘back’ button work in flash and how to get those sites spidered properly, I think flash could really take off. People like us may not care much for flash, but to your average Joe-public a Flash site is much more professional than a site like slashdot.org or useit.com.
