The threads are in the hidden section.
There are some things that are better underground and there are some things that are good to go public with and this is one that needs to be left alone.

I must have missed those threads. Although, I know that the DMOZ auction that I had ended in just hours (of a 10 day auction) with bids of $660. My bet is that it would have sold for $2,000. Are you gettting those kind of prices for the people you are brokering the deals for?

How or in what way do you think it would ruin it for the "real black hats that have been profiting from this for months"?

You are a bit late on this one as we have been brokering Dmoz logind for 6 months on the Syndk8 site.
If you do it as a publicity stunt you will ruin it for the real black hats that have been profiting from this for months.

I think it's both a very good and a very bad idea. However, we'll never know until such a marketplace is born. One problem is the middleman.

I think a good solution would be to imitate Rent a Coder in some way. Your main purpose is to provide a safe way for the product delivery and be the escrow. You would only intervene when someone makes an arbitration/dispute.

Of course there might also be legal issues. Going more on the rogue side and using e-gold might prove to be a good idea for that.

Would I use a marketplace like this? Maybe no but I would surely try it.

not making a moral judgment here -- i dont believe in doing that -- but in my opinion you are opening up a rather monstrous can of worms if you start creating identity markets. markets are more two way streets than search engines are, since there is a buyer to seller rather than seo specialist vs machine. so the game gets a whole new dimension to it.

so to answer your question, i wouldnt -- i'm simply too cautious/afraid to participate in such a market.

The Million Dollar Home Page you missed out on, then your lazy-ass couldn't have a kid fast enough to call him Google.

But, this idea is better than those 2 combined!!!

You HAVE TO have a blackhat marketplace, or I'm gonna steal the idea and do it myself.
