Online daters sue matchmaking sites for fraud Match.com, Yahoo accused of ‘date bait’
Yahoo Inc.’s personals service is accused of posting profiles of fictitious potential dating partners on its Web site to make it look as though many more singles subscribe to the service than actually do.
If you’ve ever looked at some of these sites it’s so obvious:
25 year old retired supermodel with sex compulsion seeks
145 lb computer gamer to spend trust fund with.
turn ons: MMORPGs, Cooking, p0rn, and Cleaning.
turn offs: complaining , shopping, speaking.
They do it on all the dating sites to one degree or another – now they’re getting sued for it.

Why would yahoo and match.com be perpetrating this, as opposed to the many escort businesses that regularly troll the sites looking for new “connections?”
