We are doing some rapid development on an open source portal builder called RSSGM. The project page is http://rssgm.sourceforge.net. Right now it is a working basic sitebuilder with several different integrated content engines and revenue opportunities. We have just introduced a new module that does content scraping combined with keyword targeted paragraphs spun through a Markov Chain generator. We can spin hundreds of unique articles out of one keyword reducing duplicate content.

Thanks!

I like it! I’ll not use it, but it is exciting to see how good this is working!

I think its a stupid idea. Letting the average joe use a premade solution? Let them come up with their own tools. I think the search engines are gonna get smarter anyway, this won’t be of much use in a couple of years.

Is there an actual working demo?

ElvisThePelvis Says:

Not a working demo, it is a free program (both beer and speech). It works and is in use.

*All of you* are what’s wrong with the web. A curse on you. Cancer preferably.

Irishwonder Says:

John - any mass reproduced solution ceases to be efficient in much less than couple of years, infact it’s more like a couple months. on the otehr hand, while the novice self-proclaimed blackhats will use it as is the smarter and more experienced people will come up with things to improve it - and the tol being opensource makes it very easy to improve it and tweak it all you wish. As a sidenote, no blackhat (n I’m not gonna say “worth his salt” this has been used and abused on eevry blog and foum ouot there ;-) ) - in other words - any experienced BH would never use an out-of-the-box solution without any modifications. Defaults leave footprints, no matter how small or large the number of people using them. What good does it do to me if I produce a few thousand sites using the same presets? - I create my own very much recognizeable pattern… Gotta be smarter than that.

i dont know why these guys are sutpid enough to release shit like this to the public i mean, clearly they do understand that they will have more competition because of this right?

So lets get this right, they work hard on building the software, then suffer even harder for the work they have done. benefits? I dont see any. Oh well, these guys are probably a bunch of HS or college kids who dont know anytihng about business….

ElvisThePelvis Says:

Oh my gosh, you are totally right. What fools we are…

Wow. Cancer. For building spam sites.

Nice.

Vic
