Natural links in the adult space are harder to come by than in other industries. So when you can find a way to get links from the top sex sites on the Net, it’s time to sit up and take notes.
Sam at sugarbank has a great article on how to get linked from Fleshbot with insight gleaned from a panel at Internext:
Jonno (Fleshbot’s editor) has to make 12 sexually themed posts a day to satisfy his contract. That’s not easy. It means he’s desperate to find high-quality stuff to link to and welcomes good submissions.
High-quality also means high-value. Lots of big pictures or a nice chunk of video are exactly what he wants. If it’s text, make it short, sweet, funny and brilliant (then add an original picture because every post at Fleshbot has to have one).
He cautions you to make sure you have the bandwidth to handle the traffic; a link from Fleshbot can send 200,000 people a day in your direction.
Vivian, an adult blogger, chimed in with even more helpful hint in the comment section including:
When you write up your exploits, things like paragraph breaks, punctuation and spelling DO matter. Those of us looking for posts read and skim really fast, so a lot of space helps to skim faster (at least from my experience).
Blogger has a spellcheck, USE it.
The paragraph breaks really are important for readability. I know real paragraphs can have 6-8 sentences to encapsulate a complete idea – but not on the Internet. It’s best to keep ‘em short and sweet so your readers’ eyes don’t glaze over.

The sugar bank link points to http://sugarbank.co/ rather than http://sugarbank.com/
Flesh bot has some pretty hilarious stories such as “The Booty Shake Blog!” LOL. http://www.booty-shake.com/blog/
I guess the quota will be the quota. That definitely gives me some great ideas. Great Post.
thanks for the heads up – it’s fixed now.
200,000 visitors is fine. 100 buyers are better. I’ve found that the large sites eat up a lot of bandwidth without much payoff. Being #1 in the search engines is all that matters.
Man, I can’t imagine getting 20k visitors a day.. How many of these would be real potential buyers? If they were anything like the visitors I get currently then I would be a very, very happy man.
The best part about a big boost is that once things settle down your normal traffic is higher than before. So each big boost lets you down higher than your previous plateau.
