A while back, I had upset a few of the better black hats with one of my posts. For revenge, there was talk of pointing a few thousand links at SEO Black Hat with the anchor text “I have a small penis.” With that kind of effort, I would likely rank very high in the search engines for the phrase.
While not all that happy with the idea, I joked that at least I could monetize the traffic by selling Penis Pills like this:
Since I already receive about 50 searches a month for horse sex, I figure a couple more off topic searches couldn’t hurt.
So a funny thing happened over here in Medellin, Colombia. My Brazilian girlfriend had a sore throat yesterday, and as our Portuguese is better than our Spanish, we asked how to say “I have a sore throat” in Spanish. It turns out you say “Tengo Piquina” which sounds exactly like “Tenho Piquinha” in Portuguese, or “I have a Small Penis.”
Portuguese and Spanish are similar and Brazilians can often understand people speaking in Spanish. So I just wonder how many Spanish-speaking travelers have walked into a Brazilian pharmacy and said “I have a small penis. Can you give me some medicine for my small penis?” After taking the remedy, did they think “Damn, my throat still hurts, but for some reason my penis seems bigger!”

hmm, you could be right. I just asked the people living here in colombia what they would say if they had a sore throat. So it may be a more colloquial phrase - both phrases may be.
You are correct. They missunderstood what we were asking. But still, to say that you have an itch and have someone think you are saying that you have a small penis could lead to some embarrassing situations!
unless they think you have a small, itchy penis, in which case you may be in more trouble than you realize.
Geez, this post just about had me rolling out of my chair laughing.
Mayb because the ancients thought that a sore throat was caused by choking on a small penis.

That translation is incorrect, that means “it itches”. The correct translation would be. “Tengo la garganta irritada”. So “tengo piquiña” means ’something’ itches, and the action would be to scratch rather than to take a medicine.
