Judge to FCC on Internet Wiretapping: “I Call Bullshit.”

Well, actually Judgespeek for Bullshit is “gobbledygook.” Hopefully, these Judges will stick to their guns and rule correctly on FCC Wiretapping:

U.S. telecommunications regulators Friday faced tough questioning from a federal appeals court about whether the government can force broadband Internet service providers to give law enforcment authorities access for surveillance purposes.

One of the three judges hearing the case called the government’s rationale for the surveillance requirement “gobbledygook,” and another also expressed reservations.

“This is totally ridiculous. I can’t believe you’re making this argument,” Judge Harry Edwards told the Federal Communications Commission lawyer.

The exchange in the courtroom included:

“Your argument makes no sense,” Edwards told Jacob Lewis, an associate general counsel with the FCC.

“I’m sorry I’m not making myself clear,” Lewis said.

“You’re making yourself very clear. That’s the problem,” Edwards replied. (full Article)

The FCC spends about $300,000,000 each year. Why do we even have an FCC? That organization should be abolished. They answer to no one and makes laws by fiat. I’m against any non elected officials making laws. There is no way our country’s framers intended for something as upsurd as this to happen.

The FCC is more than just another waste of your money; it’s a festering boil on the ass of America that is constantly causing more harm than good. It’s like a publicly funded RIAA.

They’re the same group of people who deemed it illegal to put “backmasking” on songs when they were fully aware that their own government and various corporations had been encoding it and broadcasting it out through public airwaves.

Like Quads said, they answer to no one, and they sure don’t work for you.

    GET OUT THERE AND VOTE!

  2. VOTE??!?!, I thought electronic voting was monitored by the FCC?
