Expdeia Spamming Update

First of all it appears as though I was wrong about the expedia spamming of the search engines being an inside job.

Following my post about expedia spamming Google, expedia has suspended all blogging accounts on the expedia.fr domain and 301 redirected all the old blogs to the new domain they have for blogging:

blogs-de-voyage.fr

Now this site has tens of thousands of free backlinks courtesy of search engine spammers and still ranks for various pharma terms in spite of having no pages about rX. Although I don’t think it was planned, I can’t think of a more cost effective way to launch a new site: Tens of thousands of backlinks that they didn’t even have to spam for themselves and no penalty from Google because it was an Â¨honest mistakeÂ¨. Looks like the best of both words!

If it was all planned, it was absolutely brilliant.
