Help Wanted: Wordpress to Drupals Conversion

Have any of you successfully done a Wordpress to Drupals Conversion? My biggest concern is keeping the old urls where they are. If it can be done, I will be looking for a desinger who may want to design the Drupals theme for seoblackhat.com in exchange for a prominent link.

Also, I have a really good idea for monitizing myspace themes on this site. . . “Myspace” is my number one search refferral. So, if you can design really nice myspace themes and want to partner on a project, let me know.

I’ve been using Drupal happily for all my sites for quite a while now. Generally, it seems to be better supported the Joomla, more flexible, and used by some major sites…

Q, feel free to drop me a note. I’ve never done the conversion thing, but I’ve done quite a few things.

My developer has experience in converting Wordpress into Drupal, URLs intact. I’m also working with a good web designer on a couple of site designs for a couple of Drupal sites we have. It’s a nice three column theme with the larger of the three columns on the left instead of the middle.
Allows for many more options to advertise, display stuff, etc. I think you have my email. Give me a shout. I love Drupal, it’s easier than Joomla.

Drupal has many more features and a wider developer support network than Joomla. By default you get a forum, blog, many RSS options, and even Podcasting abilitites.

Drupal also allows for very easy administration and the user permissions level code built in is pretty powerful. The best modules I’ve used are flexiblock, pathauto, book module, adsens module, and several more for syndicating. Definitely give those a try if you download Drupal.

I’m moving strickly to Drupal and Wordpress web sites for easier management and updating.
