I sell lots of used books via Amazon Marketplace.

We do sometimes goof up and send someone the wrong book.

I buy lots of CDs on there and have yet to have a complaint. But I do check the feedback and tend to buy from the professional sellers and not just some guy selling out of his spare room.

My main gripe is the sellers who seem to think like new is a condition encompassing all sorts of defects and damages.

As far as the feedback goes. I hate the morons who leave my store negative feedback because they didn't enjoy the author's book.

Where these actual "stores" or just someone who was unloading a few of their personal items on Amazon?

I've found the feedback systems on Amazon (and eBay for that matter) to be pretty damn useful. Out of all the stuff I've purchased online the only problems have been from my own mistakes.
