Viral Videos are an interesting animal. While you might think that something like these sexy girls bouncing to a cheesy dance song might go viral, something like these idiots may have a better chance; but who would have thought that otters holding hands could get 4 million downloads?
The elements of a viral video seem fall into one or more of these categories:
1. Humor
2. Hot Women
3. Really Cute Stuff
4. Accident / Train wreck Style videos (really bad stuff caught on video)
The thing that really makes a video go viral is when many people think “I’ve got to show this to my friends!” Appeal to that part of the brain and you’re golden.
