I hate all the political bs that goes on as much as anyone else, but if I wanted to read that crapola, I would go somehwere else. Quadszilla, I know you have tons of money in the bank, but the BH stuff is what made me a fan...

Hey Quads,

Make sure to check out a decent coffee shop - I would highly recommend the Rockery: http://en.qype.com/place/64633-Rokerij-Amsterdam

Some tips for in Amsterdam

For Friday and Saturday night the following clubs I can recommend:
Amstel 70: http://www.partyscene.nl/hotspots/Amstel_70 (sorry in Dutch)

Jimmy Woo: http://www.partyscene.nl/hotspots/Jimmy_Woo http://www.jimmywoo.com/

If you would like the fancy dinner and club night, I would definitely reserve Supperclub if I were you: http://www.supperclub.com/

Further away from the center: 11 http://www.partyscene.nl/hotspots/11 this club is on the 11nd floor of an old postal building

During the day you can grab some food at: Chocolate bar http://www.diningcity.com/amsterdam/chocolatebar/index_nl.jsp
which in the area De Pijp, where I used to live. http://www.amsterdam.info/depijp/

A lot of the restaurants on the last site are pretty worth going. And you definitely must go to the Albert Cuyp markt, which is a market.
Close to the chocolate is Barca: http://www.amsterdam.info/restaurants/bar-ca/

For just a drink before going clubbing you can go to Bars:
Suzy Wong, across the street from Jimmy Woo, http://www.partyscene.nl/hotspots/Suzy_Wong

Next to this is Voung http://www.partyscene.nl/hotspots/vuong (also restaurant)
Around the corner: http://www.partyscene.nl/hotspots/Lux & Palladium (only on the Friday evening) http://www.palladiumamsterdam.nl/ & http://www.kroegpagina.nl/palladium/

Next to each other, two bars that are worth wile ( near Supperclub):
Bep: http://www.partyscene.nl/hotspots/Bep
Diep: http://www.partyscene.nl/hotspots/Diep
Accross the street: NL http://www.partyscene.nl/hotspots/NL
And around the corner: Schuim: http://www.partyscene.nl/hotspots/'_t_Schuim

Around the corner from Amstel 70: De Kroon: http://www.frommers.com/destinations/amsterdam/D36374.html

For Restaurants:
For dinner, Italian Cinema Paradiso http://www.cinemaparadiso.info/ is fun. Very good food, and lot’s to see. No reservations possible.
Or trendy Bar/restaurant Suite: http://www.partyscene.nl/hotspots/Suite
For a good Noodle meal, trendy hip restaurant Noa: http://www.partyscene.nl/hotspots/Noa
Nice food and a good atmosphere: Kitsch: http://www.partyscene.nl/hotspots/Kitsch
Very stylish No nonsense cuisine: Blender: http://www.partyscene.nl/hotspots/Blender
Also nice for food and something to look around: Werck: http://www.partyscene.nl/hotspots/Werck
If Cinema Paradiso is full, you can try Local Amsterdam: http://www.partyscene.nl/hotspots/Local_Amsterdam

just some tips from a formal local.

Hahah! I was in Amsterdam there about May 2006 and I remember stumbling into the Moulin Rouge late one night and seeing a Jackie Chan lookalike fucking on stage. He's still going strong, fair play to him.
