Over on Torrent Freak, I was reading about how torrent.is was by far the most popular torrent tracker in Iceland, but this quote was the absolute jaw-dropper:
During November of last year, Torrent.is received a preliminary injunction, which led to the shutdown of the site and a 50% drop in Internet traffic in Iceland.
The site had limited users to those on Icelandic IPs to insure better speeds. I guess it worked pretty well, until it was shut down by court order.
Imagine we take the total amount of internet traffic (I) and remove tube sites (T), porn (P), and Torrents (T oh shit wait, i used that one already how about . . . “A”).
How much traffic would we be left with as a percentage of (I) if we removed (T), (P) and (A)?
