“Web spam is when somebody tries to cheat or take shortcuts so that their Web site shows up higher [in search results rankings] than it deserves to show up,” - Matt Cutts
Great definition.
This was good too:
“I’m struggling with what exactly to say,” said Cutts. “On one hand, Google knows a lot about spam. … On the other hand, I don’t want to disclose things that would benefit people that try to spam.”

Matt is just being cute. For him any SEO is then spam because using stumble is me trying to get visitors that otherwise would not have come to my site - getting me better rankings than I deserve. Using keywords “weighloss, weight loss, massive weight loss, lose weight, losing weight, lose a lot of weight, lose 10 pounds, lose tummy fat” is cheating because I should only say one of them.
Darn, I feel just evil.
