Internet Marketing Top Blogs

Hey Quadszilla,
I wanted to let you know about a new tool that I launched today called IM Top Blogs. Basically, it’s the ultimate ranked list of the best Internet marketing blogs in the industry. It factors in data from Feedburner, Alexa, Compete, Technorati, Google PR, Yahoo links, StumbleUpon, delicious, and some others to create a more accurate list of the top blogs.

My feedback was:

I don’t use feedburner – you might consider comparing bloglines subs to get an estimate for those of us that don’t (or any other feed service that shows subscribers).

The badge is, of course, a great idea for backlinks if you can get traction on it. To be blunt, however, that badge is rather ugly. I’d have it redesigned by an artist.

Overall though, nice job. It’s a good place to check out for blogs you may want to give a spin in your RSS reader.

  1. “best Internet marketing blogs in the industry”. That’s like saying Girls Aloud’s music is awesome because they can get #1 in UK charts. However, if you are not in to mainstream drivvel, then looking at the top 100 in the charts is worth jack squat.

SEOMoz, ewww (although, I doooo still look at it on the odd occasion because for some reason I still have premium membership even though I cancelled it forever and a day ago) and Search Engine Land… Yeah, not a bad website if you want to just re-read, but in different words what you’ve just seen on the Official Google blog… or regurgetated naffness they go around time and time again. Seriously, BBC re-runs attract more of my attention. I could go on…

Don’t get me wrong, this is a good idea and there are some great sites in there too, but the term ‘best’ just does not sit well with me based solely on those kind of numbers.

I agree with your sentiment. The list is still pretty long and I know I’m trying out a few new feeds because of it. As to those that publish crap 5 times a day . . . they are not part of my RSS subscriptions.

  3. […] Last week, Gyutae Park announced Internet Marketing Top Blogs, a modern day top sites list based on a handful high profile metrics. Admittedly, I heard about this through the grapevine. Quadszilla commented that while the idea was interesting, the icon badge was a little ugly. The badge is, of course, a great idea for backlinks if you can get traction on it. To be blunt, however, that badge is rather ugly. I’d have it redesigned by an artist. […]
