The Best Thing I’ve Ever Bought

Cars, house, toys, gadgets, clothes, vacations . . . I’ve bought ‘em all.

But the one thing I’ve purchased that has most improved my quality of life, brought me the most enjoyment, and brings a smile to my face almost every time I see it is that 30″ LCD monitor of mine.

2 years ago, I purchased a 30″ Dell Monitor for around $1900 (it’s about $1200 now). It’s been such an incredible value to me in terms of productivity and enjoyment that I just had to let you all know about it. When I traveled for 6 months this year, I actually pined for that beautiful innovation.

It’s so incredible to work on. You have so much room, so much desktop, soooo many glorious pixels - 4,096,000 of ‘em! I can not say enough good things about it to express how much I love it.

Don’t know what to get that special geek in your life for the holidays? Size matters - Give 30 Inches of pure lovin.

Ladies - (the 20 or so of you who read this blog) -want to get your man something he’ll never forget? Give him over 4 million pixels of joy this holiday season.

Many of you wouldn’t think twice about paying $45,000 for a car instead of $35,000 - or an extra $50,000 for a house. But when it comes to the the thing you look at, dare I say more than anything else in this world, you settle for 2nd best.

Don’t settle any more.

Here’s the Dell I got on Amazon:

And the Apple one is suppose to be just as good but it says “Apple” on it, so it’s $600 more.

If you have the money - get a 30″ LCD. If you’re anything like me, you’ll come back, thank me later and wonder how you ever did without one.

Who’s reading this on a 30″ right now? Am I lying? or is it really as awesome as I say it is?

Dual 17″ monitors works well for me, and is like $500 combined.

I’ve had dual 21″s, the 30″ is better.

Got the 23″ Apple Cinema Display plus my macbookpro screen for second stuff but I will definitely go for the 30″ when I’ll be able to afford… just switched from a 17″ to the HD 23″ was amazing last year. And will definitely go for the Apple one, their screen quality (profesionnal material) really worth every bit of it :)

I wouldn´t wanna live without my 30″ Apple Cinema Display, too! It´s just so much better to work on, and it´s really increasing your productivity!

*hugs his 3007wfp* don’t know what I’d do without you

You can get two 24″ LG widescreen monitors for less than 250 euro. They are great!

See, I am in a similar mind to you… but my best purchase ever was this years purchase of an HD projector for £400. Has made movie nights a regular option at home, makes gaming fantastic (Life size locusts FTW) and indeed works as a pretty nifty “monitor” for the computer too.

Can have any screen size I like, I swap between 84″ and over 120″, may go bigger once I move the sofa to the far end of the large room :)

But yes, my glee comes into play every day since I got it when I see the screen roll down, the projector power up, and the surround sound kick in :)

Best purchase ever and half the price of a 50″ tv! :)

Yeah, I remember we were talking about that after launching a certain campaign. I ended up buying one of them too as you know, and it’s worth every single penny. I have an Eizo 24″, and it’s nothing compared to my beloved 30″ Dell. This thing simply rocks. Period.

Not bad thingy, but two years ago I opted for a dual 28″ NEC Multisync instead because that crazy 30″ resolution hurt my eyes and just sizing the fonts up is a joke…

that being said I got 4608000 pixel by that on double the real estate on my desk -which I found just PERFECT

These Dell LCD’s are fantastic. I have one too. They are worth every penny.
