The BART Execution

Even with the Rodney King thing years ago, I was like “Yea, the cops are wrong, but I get it . . . he is kinda resisting and we don’t have all the footage.” I mean Rodney King was high as a kite and just led cops through a long high speed chase. The video didn’t tell the whole story.

But these videos are just shocking:

Did you see the reacting cop put her hands to her head with the expression of “Oh my God! – WTF did you just do?” From:

Grant was unarmed when he was shot in the back; the bullet apparently went through him and ricocheted off the concrete platform, entering his torso. It was the ricochet wound that caused Grant’s death, the Alameda County coroner’s office said Wednesday.

Apparently it normally takes a few weeks to file charges? But it sure does seem that the executioner, Officer Johannes Mehserle, shouldn’t be walking the streets. He’s gotta be a flight risk.

I don’t see how this can be seen as anything but the execution of Oscar Grant.

Play devil’s advocate for me . . . how could this possibly be justified?

Justified? It can’t be. It could have been an accident. But in any event it is not justified. The officer needs to be charged with at the least involuntary manslaughter. If it is found that he wasn’t actively trying to kill the man.

  2. Devil’s advocate… errr… he said to the cops, “If you don’t shoot me know and kill me, the world will explode”… or atleast… that’s what the cop thought he heard… but let’s just say, no one else heard this.

It later turns out that the cop had his drink spiked the night before and was having a bad acid trip, thus, he heard him saying something absurd like that and also = the cop getting off the hook. Hey… he couldn’t help it, he didn’t realise he was on a bad trip… why would he, he wasn’t even expecting to be drugged.

Other than that, I can’t see how he could get off. >.

The only ting that would be justified here is a lynching of the officer involved.

Until we the people take this into our own hands cops will keep killing and abusing the sheeplez.

    Fuck pigs

Yea, I was on that train. The cop deserves nothing less then getting stoned to death.

  5. It’s not justified. It doesn’t matter what Grant was saying or not. Shooting someone when they’re already pinned to the ground is an execution, and the protests here will continue.
