Nigerian 419

This scam will probably work til the end of time:

A Leamington man has fallen prey to international scam artists who strung him along for more than a year with the promise of millions in cash, but ultimately bilked him and his family of $150,000. John Rempel said he quit his truck driving job, lost friends, borrowed money and crossed the globe in pursuit of a non-existent inheritance, after he was contacted by e-mail in what is known as a Nigerian 419 scam.

Why? As a 14 year old Nigerian and “Yahoo millionaire” once said “White people are too gullible.”

Even if it’s 0.2%, if I send out a couple of million scam emails that wouldn’t be too bad. :] I kid, I kidddd!

Sure I heard recently a university study concluded that they only need about 0.0001% to make a profit!

Hard to credit people still fall for these sort of scams – obviously still some truth in the rumour, “There is one born every minute.” Still, it is small beer compared to Madoff and a lot of people who really should have known better!
