It’s Friends and Family Week at Google Adwords!

Got a sister? How about a grandmother or an uncle? How about a mechanic friend that knows nothing about the Internet?

If so, you’re in luck!

Because for the next week or so, you can get a free $250 for each of them you talk into signing up for Google Adwords.

http://www.google.com/ads/250/v.html

Here’s the pitch “Hey Grandma, I need your information to sign up for Google adwords. What’s adwords? Oh don’t worry about it – it’s Just some geek stuff, but it costs you nothing and I get some free money. Thanks grandma! Yea, I love you too!”

Go through your myspace and face book accounts, go through your phonebook and call up everyone who you know doesn’t know shit about the Internet and has no need for an Adwords account. With a few hours of work, you should be able to open at least 10 accounts.

Now to be on the safe side, you’re probably gonna want to walk them through it on their machine – in case there’s IP loggin or shit like that.

But $2500 for a few hours of work? Thank you Google and thank you Grandma!

Dude, you need a coupon code for that. Without that Code, it doesn’t work out.. (and it’s not being sent within or after the registration process)

  2. Ashley says:

Unless I’m missing something it looks like you need a coupon code that they emailed to you. How do you get the coupon codes?

  3. Shane says:

According to Step 3, you need a code from the mailer they sent. Do you have that code?

I could be wrong, but my reading of this

    http://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=8205

“The mailer or email you received may have given you a URL to use when setting up your AdWords account and indicated that the credit would apply automatically to your account. If this is the case, you can leave the promotional code field blank, and the credit will be applied automatically to your account.”

is that it’s tracked by url. I’ll haven’t gone through it yet, but i’ll give it a go and try customer service if there’s no instant credit.

  5. domfosnz says:

Do you need to use different credit cards for each account?

  6. QuadsZilla says:

you’d probably need not only different credit cards but different names on the credit card accounts – possibly even different addresses.

  7. scottj says:

The v.html URL above clearly states the following: “In your AdWords account, fill out your “Billing Preferences” under the “My Account” tab. Enter your coupon code exactly as it appears on your mailer. Click “Save and Activate.””

  8. Carlos Duplar says:

meh, terms and conditions say it’s restricted to advertisers with billing address on US and Canada. =/

BTW, no code showed up on my mailer when signing up.
