QuadsZilla Starcraft, the original, is such an incredible game. It came out 13 years ago, and even today has one of the biggest fan bases of any game.
How big? Check this out:
15,000 people packed in that arena. Starcraft is so huge in Korea, that even girls play it. I’m not talking like a few girls here and there. It’s like more than 50% of the girls over there play.
The bar could not be higher for Starcraft 2. But this is Blizzard and they execute. If they execute on this, there will be huge affiliate marketing and fan site potential for Starcraft 2.
If you’re looking for a niche, that’s one that has HUGE potential this year.

ok, call me an idiot, but how can I make money from this? Cheat guides? downloads of the game? I already have a site ranked #3 in google for starcraft 2 cheats – what could I do to make cash from it?
For monetization, the most simple option would be to sell the game through Amazon. To make the most of it, I would sell ebook gaming guides and most of all Starcraft 2 merchandise. Posters, action figures and all the other crap. There’s gonna be all kinds of geeky swag!

Yea and now with the new monetization of of custom maps, perhaps there will be a way to tie into that as well.
